Specialist Interests
Percutaneous coronary intervention
I have performed over 2000 PCI procedures, either elective or urgent. I have been in charge of the interventional service at the hospital and am proficient in various interventional techniques and procedures including IVUS, OCT, and pressure wire/ catheter assessments. The majority of my procedures are now performed through the radial approach.
Device therapy (ICD & CRT)
I am the lead cardiologist in complex device therapy and have set up an active and comprehensive service at Wexham Park Hospital. The service has thrived to become one of the most active and successful units for a DGH unit in the UK with an average of 80-100 complex device implants/year.
Permanent Pace Maker Implantation
I have performed over 2000 single and dual chamber permanent pacemaker implants including use of passive as well as active fixation leads.
Transoesophageal / Transthoracic Echocardiography
I have extensive echocardiography background experience and am specifically proficient in transoesophageal echocardiography with over 1000 procedures (many of which were intraoperative).
